Well folks, I’ve finally done it! I’ve finally fulfilled my *Eight Things* list that I received from Tracy over at Rambling Thoughts of the Neverending Mind. She gave me this mission to fill way way back on April 16th. About time I finished the mission, don’t ya think!?!

Trouble is, I still have to go and figure out who I want to go giving that Sage Award from Etta to, I’ll think about that one a wee bit longer, but hopefully it won’t take as long as this has!

  1. Skye, I loves you girl! I will accept this mission with relish and try to do it justice. This tape will self-destruct now.

  2. Eight things?

Wow. My brain will be on overload.

    I'm starting to sweat already!

    Kidding! I'm not a memehater. I like'em! *smile*

    So thank-you kindly!

  3. We could watch TV together!
Are you driving anyone crazy with it? My son almost gets a rash when he sees another team of people trying to solve a murder by cutting a body and explaining every cut, bruise and spot of any weird colour...

  4. I Love's You Too Etta! :) Enjoy your mission, it's tougher than it sounds!

You're very welcome Quirky, I hope you have fun with this!

That sounds like fun Minka, I'd love to sit and watch t.v. with you! No, no one around here is going crazy with my fav shows, we all enjoy the same sort of t.v. thankfully!

  5. i'll go ahead and make you feel better about your life by telling you that you don't want to go camping, or rollerblading. both activities will leave you dangerously scarred and out of breath. and possibly eaten by a bear

  7. I can believe that about the roller blading Blunt, but as far as the camping goes, I love to camp, I wanna go again! Please let me go camping again, please!!!!!!! Besides, where I want to camp there's not much danger of bear, cougar perhaps, but not bear. Besides, camping is the one thing I've never been able to take Becca and go do, she's 11 and it's about time for her to experience a long hike with a campout being the result of it! Having to carry everything in on our backs, the best part will be the building of the fire and sleeping around it :)

  8. I went crazy a long time ago Donna, haven't been able to come back from it though :D Just kidding ;)

I'm looking forward to reading your 8 things, I'm sure it will be very interesting!

  9. Thanks for the heads up about Donna's tag. I might not have found it for a few days. I love it when the first time I visit a blog, it's a meme. You get to know the blogger a little better a little faster. I asked Donna to paint my bathroom so if you're looking forward to weeding your garden, could mine be next. UGH!

We watch a lot of the same shows. I love the mentalist. My new favorite is Royal Pains.

  10. Did you know celebrity deaths come in eights?

Just kidding but I'm beginning to wonder about it.

Good job with the meme. I'm sorry your job is such a pain. Maybe it's time to put the 11-year-old to work!

Quirky gave me the eights (It sounds like a contagious disease)!

  12. Smart Mouth Broad (may I feel free to refer to you as SMB?) and
Reforming Geek (is it all right if I call you Reffie as so many other's do?), welcome to the funny half of my blogging home, I love to see new faces come around! :)

SMB, if you send me a ticket and directions on how to get to your place, I'm there! I do find a lot of relaxation in weeding surprisingly enough. I do however play my music a little on the loud side while doing so, I hope you like everything from Roxette to Leonard Cohen to Andre Bocelli all the way across the board to Chris De Burgh! :D By the way, I'm not all that fond of Mentalist, I like Mental, it's quite a bit different in taking place in a mental ward of a hospital as opposed to being about a psychic. As for Royal Pains, I haven't seen that one yet, perhaps I should check it out if it doesn't come on during one of my other regular fav's :)

Reffie, I always thought they came in 3's just like all negative things supposedly do! Oh well, guess we're both wrong, huh!?! Thanks for the compliment, I had a very hard time with it to be honest. Trying to figure out the 8 things I did aside from going to the beach and working were not that easy...lol. Work's not such a pain, the hours are just hard to contend with sometimes, although I have to admit, I do enjoy being able to be home everyday between 2 and 3:30, depending on when I start, that way I always have my afternoons and evenings free, Lucky me! As for putting Becca to work, already done, she mows all the neighbors yards for $10/yard, plus she does all the dishes, takes out the garbage, sweeps and sometimes washes floors, folds and puts away the laundry, sometimes makes meals and helps out wherever else I need her. Unfortunately she keeps reminding me she's not my slave at which time I keep reminding her that if she wants all the extra's she keeps getting, she needs to keep doing her chores. Then she's fine with it all...lol.

Hi Sue, and you're welcome! You don't have to write your meme immediately, you could always take a couple of months to get to it like I did! By that time, I'll have forgotten about it and you can come back and remind me :D

  13. Wow, Skye! First, I am honored that you thought of me in ME for the me-me! Cool!

Second, I never do this stuff. Well, I shouldn't say 'never', but I never do anything that requires me to forward it along and make other people do it.

Third, eight things are waaaay too many things for my brain to handle.

Thank you wanting to torture me, though. That was very thoughtful of you!

BTW: I did enjoy your Eight Things lists! Hope that cold is better!

  14. No worries Deb, I did say it was your choice should you wish to accept the mission. No one has to :) I just figured it would be a fun way to get more people to check out some of my fav blogs and a good way to find more bloggers I hadn't come across before via others meme's. Besides, with all this me-me stuff, how could I not think of you and ME? :D

Thanks for letting me know that you don't like passing the buck, so to speak. :)

I've decided to use comment moderation simply because that way, I never miss a new comment on my posts. I'm really quite forgetful and tend to not remember how many comments had been in each post the last time I looked, so please bare with me and my memory lapses :)
